This course, offered in development with Health Promotion and Wellness, is a 75-minute session designed to help students explore strategies to make more informed decisions and avoid the addictive effects of tobacco products, nicotine, and vaping. It covers the physical and psychological impacts of nicotine dependence and reviews local regulations and campus policy on tobacco and vape use. The aim is to encourage positive behavior changes that promote healthier lifestyles and reduce dependency on nicotine products.
This engaging program is tailored for first-time students who are cited for tobacco or vaping violations in the community, on campus, or in-residence halls, as well as those found in violation of The University of Alabama’s smoke-free policy.
If this course is required as a sanction, a $50 program fee will apply. The fee can be charged to your student account or paid via debit/credit or check. Cash or checks will not be accepted in person. After registering, a confirmation email will be sent to the address provided. Please allow 24 hours for delivery of the confirmation.
